Gaucho Polo team was the champion of the third release of the Sunset
Polo tournament held last June 26 at the Ham Polo Club in Richmond,
England. This year, the traditional
tournament created by Adolfo
Cambiaso (h) was in full aid of Asociación Sueños y Esperanzas and
Fundación Ideas del Sur. This time, nearly 500 people enjoyed a unique
day featured by different activities associated with this sport.
The main contest was between Gaucho Polo Team, made by Adolfo
Cambiaso (h), Julio Ernesto Gutiérrez Conte, Alan Meeker, and Ali Albwary; and
Camino Real, the team made by Pablo MacDonough, Fermín Gutiérrez, Rashid
Albwardy, and Benji Davis. The contest was hard fought and was featured
by its excelling level. Finally, the Gaucho Polo Team won 6 to 5 and
got the first place in the tournament.
María Vázquez, Marianela Castagnola, Jorge Lukowski, Fabián Scoltore,
and many other European celebrities watched the event very attentively.
The day ended with a dinner where a number of polo items courtesy of
La Dolfina Lifestyle were auctioned. They included Adolfo Cambiaso’s
helmet and a saddle signed by the best polo players around the world.
Some minutes later, the organizers invited the authorities of Fundación
Ideas del Sur and Sueños y Esperanzas Association to receive the
donation.
Many leading brands wanted to be present in this prestigious
tournament. They were PoloLine, PQ International, Gaucho Restaurant,
Frego, Camino Real, Bodega del Fin del Mundo, La Dolfina Lifestyle, and
La Dolfina Polo Ranch.
About Asociación Sueños y Esperanzas:
The purpose of this association is to promote a better quality of
living for women and their families, boosting their self-esteem, their
faith, and their creativity. Its staff is made by a general coordinator,
social workers, psychologists, and approximately 15 women who cooperate
with the staff at the house located in Bancalari. There, they serve
food for more than 300 children and women.
About Fundación Ideas del Sur
It was created in 2001 by Marcelo Tinelli to help the most vulnerable
sectors in society. From its very beginning, the Foundation cooperates
with different institutions and programs. They include the Special
Olympic Games, Caritas organization in Laferrere, Pedro de Elizalde
Hospital, the Hospital of Bolívar City, and a number of institutions in
that city.
